  I use Castlight to find out the cost of a procedure before doing it as recommended by my job(who supplies the insurance). I found the cost and had my dr send me to Salem Radiology based in that information. After going we got a bill from them for the correct amount which covered the xray and the reading of it. You'd think that is all that would be required for an xray and at most places you'd be correct. Salem radiology is now affiliated with PARKLAND MEDICAL who also sent me a bill for way more than the original bill. Out of the $700+ bill, Insurance paid $400 and I was left with the rest. I called and they said it was the cost of walking in the door of the building! BEWARE! This is not advertised anywhere that parkland is affiliated and you have no idea going in, that you will be charged by some random company looking for their cut.
